a type of horse on the plains of Central Asia unlike any
other. Lithe, elegant, enduring and fast, this horse came
to be coveted by many for its unique characteristics. This
horse has seen famines, prosperity, and political upheavals.
Called by many names over the centuries, the descendent
of that eary Central Asian horse is known to the world today
as the Akhal-Teke.
As geographically
widespread as the Akhal-Teke breed has become, so are the
Akhal-Teke breeders, owners and enthusiasts highly diverse
in culture, location, language and not the least, opinion.
As diverse as they may be, they are united by their common
